I understand from a source close to the club, Tottenham had been unhappy with José Mourinho for many months. The honeymoon bonhomie of ‘All or Nothing’ didn’t last long.
Alas, the hunt for a replacement for an increasingly frustrating situation for both parties was not a hurried one. First choice Julian Nagelsmann had already made plans by the time Spurs reached out.
Next up is Ten Hag, who did NOT interview badly as some have suggested. In fact, that conversation was short and sweet, because again, of time lost. Mourinho was sacked on April 19th and by May 2nd, Ten Hag had not just won the Eredivisie but triggered a year extension from Ajax as a result.
The respect between Spurs and Ajax is high and mutual. So there were never any thoughts of an audacious raid or some such.
Ten Hag to Spurs could happen if Ajax can or indeed are willing to find a replacement.
Conte discussions did happen, but so much ‘info’ was invented it beggars belief. Those talks were very brief. Very.
Poch discussions absolutely did not happen – total fiction.

Looking at the price of a Spurs season ticket, it has to be the most expensive ‘non essential’ purchase of the year in a middle class UK household. So if you’re the kind of chap who’s willing to pay such extraordinary sums to the club after the performances of the last couple of seasons, that too in this financial climate, then you deserve to be fleeced.
Roma were leading Utd but then suffered injuries to some key players including the keeper. Sub keeper looked out of his depth, but Roma did implode.
The way PSG are snapping up talent, i’d say Poch used Spurs to strengthen his hand.
Wijnaldum was basically on the plane to Barcelona but Poch lured him to Paris with the promise of bags of gold.
It doesn’t even need mega funding to lock us out – Aston Villa are building a much more cabable and talented squad already and I’m sure others will follow!
That’s the scary part the top four taking care of business and if some other club got mega funding like a City we could be permanently locked out of the top four.

2) Poch leaked it to strengthen his hand at PSG

Reading up on his career progression and tactics… Fonseca seems to have some good ideas and encourage attacking football. His teams are coached to be strong against a high press. But… he needs Central Defenders who are very comfortable on the ball (hmm)… and this might be an example of how the Premier League teams will treat his Tottenham:

You’ll notice that his teams have improved in the last couple of years and we might expect better scores now (Chelsea 6 – Tottenham 4, for instance?)
Ultimately whoever comes in is doomed to fail…. top 4 is even further away now than 4-5 years ago as the big 4 all now have their houses in order & ours is in disrepute. Most clubs when they fire managers generally have a succession plan…, however we seem to be an exception to the rule.
