Tottenham hold ‘meeting’ with Euro giants for 29-yr-old, ‘agreement in principle’ reached

By Saikat -

Real Madrid are looking to sign the Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane during the summer transfer window.

According to journalist Alfredo Pedulla, the Spanish giants have now held talks with Tottenham regarding the 29-year-old striker.

The Italian journalist claims that there was a ‘meeting’ between the two clubs earlier today and an ‘agreement in principle’ has been reached.

Apparently, Tottenham are holding out for a fee of around €100-110 million for the England international. However, Real Madrid are hoping to sign him for around €80-90 million.

Kane is one of the best strikers in the world and he could be the ideal replacement for Karim Benzema who has decided to head to Saudi Arabia.

The 29-year-old Tottenham star has 32 goals across all competitions this season and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for most clubs in world football.

The player has entered the final year of his contract and Tottenham might be powerless to stop him from leaving.

They will not want to lose a player of his quality on a free transfer and it makes sense for them to cash in on him this summer if he refuses to sign an extension.

Tottenham have missed out on Champions League football and they are in a transitional phase right now with a new manager recently brought in.

Kane is yet to win a single trophy in his club career and he might feel that this is the right time for him to move on and join a more ambitious club.
