La Liga outfit ‘dreaming’ of signing 28-year-old versatile Tottenham ace

By Saikat -

Real Betis want to bring Giovani Lo Celso back to the club in the summer.

Giovani Lo Celso is not happy with his current situation at Tottenham Hotspur and is looking to part ways with the club in the upcoming summer transfer window. Real Betis are the ones interested in him and they are ‘dreaming’ about re-signing the 28-year-old Argentine ace as per AS via SportWitness.

Lo Celso made a name for himself at the La Liga outfit before joining Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2019. It was an initial season-long loan deal which was made permanent the following season.

He had a decent debut season at the North London club but post that, things never really worked out for the Argentine midfielder at Tottenham. Over the years, he has had multiple loan spells away from the club.

Giovani Lo Celso needs more game time

Although Spurs decided to keep him at the club for the ongoing season, the 28-year-old attacking midfielder has had less than 600 minutes of first-team football.

Lo Celso wants to part ways with Spurs in the upcoming transfer window and with his contract running out in 2025, the North London club will probably look to sanction his departure.

The 28-year-old impressed with his performances during his time with former club Real Betis and they feel the versatile Argentine ace could be a useful option for them. As a result, they are plotting his return this summer. However, the report suggests the La Liga outfit have financial limitations and they can only afford him if they manage to qualify for Europe next season.
