According to TeamTalk, Tottenham are one of the many clubs keen on signing Florian Wirtz.
The report claims that while Manchester City and Chelsea are leading the race to sign him, Tottenham and Arsenal and keeping checks on the youngster as well.
The German starlet has recently been named as the second best youngster in the world by Goal.
He has become a pivotal figure in Bayer Leverkusen’s squad, helping them to the top of the Bundesliga table with 25 points and leading Bayern Munich by 2 points.
So far this season, Wirtz has contributed with two goals and four assists in nine games. His impressive senior career with Bayer Leverkusen boasts a total of 28 goals and 38 assists in 116 appearances.
While the report suggests that a January move is unlikely, the prospect of a transfer in the summer appears more realistic.
Other clubs showing interest include Newcastle United, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona.
His market value is said to be around €85m while his current contract with the German club expires in 2027.
Leverkusen will be under no pressure to sell him which means he will not be available for cheap.
