Tottenham keen on ‘hugely improved’ PL midfielder they have watched all season

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White.

The 23-year-old has been ‘hugely impressive’ since joining the newly promoted Premier League side and his performances have caught the attention of the North London club. According to a report from Football Insider, Tottenham have watched the player all season and they are ready to make a move for him in the coming months.

Gibbs-White has been a key player for Nottingham Forest and he could improve Tottenham in the final third. It is no secret that Spurs need to add more creativity and goals in the final third and a 23-year-old midfielder seems like an ideal fit.

He is well settled in the Premier League as he could make an immediate impact at the North London club.

Signing the highly talented attacking midfielder will help Tottenham create more opportunities for their goal-scorers and it would allow players like Harry Kane to focus on their goal-scoring.

The 29-year-old England international has had to drop deep quite often during the season in order to create opportunities for himself and his teammates. Tottenham must look to bring in a quality playmaker during the summer transfer window.

Although the North London outfit have talented midfielders at their disposal, they are lacking craft and technical ability from the central areas.

Gibbs-White is an excellent person in the final third and his ability to beat players and open up the defences with his flair and link-up play could make him an asset for Tottenham.

The opportunity to play for the London club is likely to be a tempting proposition for the young midfielder. Nottingham Forest are currently fighting for survival in the Premier League and Gibbs-White is likely to leave the club if they go down to the Championship.

The 23-year-old has clearly outgrown Nottingham Forest, and it seems like the ideal time for him to take the next step in his career.
