Tottenham player wants wages of £4.4m to leave the club

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur winger Lucas Moura has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.

The 30-year-old Brazilian will be out of contract in the summer and it appears that Tottenham are not keen on extending his stay at the London club.

Moura has fallen down the pecking order at Tottenham and he is no longer a key starter for Antonio Conte. He needs to leave the club in order to play regularly and Turkish outfit Fenerbahce are keen on signing him.

However, a report (h/t SportWitness) claims that Lucas Moura has now demanded a salary of around £4.4 million in order to join the Turkish outfit. Apparently, Fenerbahce are looking to sign the winger immediately and they have offered him a 3-year contract.

Moura has been a useful player for Tottenham since joining the club and he was a key player under Mauricio Pochettino and help Tottenham fight for the Premier League title and the Champions League trophy.

It remains to be seen whether he is prepared to accept the offer from the Turkish outfit and join them permanently. Moura needs to play regularly at this stage of his career and staying at Tottenham is unlikely to benefit him. Regular football at the Turkish club could help the player get his career back on track and it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds.

The 30-year-old is still good enough to be a key player for Fenerbahce and he could transform them in the final third.
