Tottenham forward Lucas Moura’s agent, Junior Pedroso, has dropped a hint about the Brazilian’s next destination as his contract with the Premier League club is set to expire at the end of the season.
Moura, who signed for Spurs in January 2018 from Paris Saint-Germain, played a crucial role in their memorable Champions League run under former manager Mauricio Pochettino in the 2018/2019 season, where they reached the final but lost to Liverpool.
However, the current season has been challenging for Moura, as he has struggled with injuries and has found himself move down the pecking order behind the likes of Kane, Son, Kulusevski, and Richarlison.
As a result, there have been several reports linking him with a move away from Tottenham, with his former club Sao Paulo being mentioned as a possible destination.
However, in a recent interview with Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola, Moura’s agent denied links to Sao Paulo and hinted that a deal with a European club could be on the horizon. Pedroso stated (via Sport Witness), “There is no movement in that direction. We are studying proposals in Europe to choose the best path for Lucas.”
This is not the first time that Moura’s agent has emphasized the player’s focus on playing in Europe for a few more years.
Despite limited playing time this season and a recent straight red card against Everton that will see him miss two more games, Moura’s contributions to Tottenham, especially during the 2018-19 season, have endeared him to the fans.
