Tottenham star’s summer exit ‘certain’, club ready to offer him €3m-a-year contract

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder Lucas Moura has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.

The 30-year-old Brazilian will be out of contract in the summer and the North London giants have decided not to renew his contract. Moura will move on as a free agent and Turkish outfit Fenerbahce are keen on securing his services.

According to a report from Fanatik, the Brazilian midfielder’s departure from Tottenham is ‘certain’ and Fenerbahce are ready to offer him a contract worth around €3 million per season for two years with the option of a third year.

The 30-year-old could prove to be a quality acquisition for the Turkish outfit next season. He has the quality to improve them in the final third and his ability to slot into multiple attacking roles will be an added bonus.

Moura has been a useful player for total him since joining the club, but he has fallen down the pecking order this season.

The Brazilian is yet to start a single league game for Tottenham this season. He needs to play more regularly at this stage of his career, and if Tottenham cannot provide him with the platform, he should look to move on. A move to Turkey could be ideal for him at this stage of his career.

The lower intensity of Turkish football could prolong his career. Muora has previously been linked with a return to Brazil as well. It remains to be seen whether the Brazilian decides to move to the Turkish club at the end of the season.
