Tottenham very much knocking on Wembley’s door

By The Boy -

Spurs have been in the winning wilderness for almost the entirety of ENIC’s reign. Of course, it could be argued that running a Premier League side isn’t the most straightforward job in the world, however, Tottenham have never had so much money coming in. Daniel Levy’s clear and central ambition was to diversify the revenue streams available to his business, thanks to a plan of rapid and inventive expansion.

ENIC’s footprint in N17 not only includes a dramatically enhanced football stadium, but the core message was one of this being a multipurpose venue, with not only top-flight soccer on offer but a unique deal was struck with the NFL, offering a minimum of two American Football games each year. This move, alone, suddenly put Spurs in direct competition with the iconic Wembley Stadium. The pursuit of silverware has been non-existent in recent years, to put it mildly. The nation’s number-one destination football stadium, Wembley last saw Spurs playing there when we hired the venue while White Hart Lane was being relocated.

We will be back at Wembley soon, courtesy of our women’s side thanks to Martha Thomas’ 118th-minute header sent Tottenham into a maiden Women’s FA Cup final after an energized 2-1 win over Leicester City after extra-time. Manchester United will face Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup final on Sunday, 12 May.

Deep in the bowels of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will be housed the world’s first in-stadium electric karting facility as part of a new 15-year strategic partnership with Formula One. Already heavily advertised, this venue will be built under the South Stand and is expected to be the longest indoor track in London when it opens. Stefano Domenicali, Formula One CEO, said:

“As we continue to grow our sport around the world, partnering with world-renowned brands like Tottenham Hotspur allows us to take F1 and motorsport to new and diverse audiences. The karting experience will be a destination and place that families, friends and aspiring drivers from all over the world will want to visit and enjoy, engaging new audiences and offering an accessible entry point to the world of motorsport.”

Another successful string to Tottenham’s bow has been the staging of live concerts, with Beyoncé and Guns and Roses featured, again giving Wembley’s Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift a run for their money.

Spurs fans will be looking forward to some of this additional cash being aimed at the football team, as the dramatic boosts have seen the club to the 8th spot in the Deloitte Money League, in part thanks to a record £261 million being raised via commercial activity.
